Forums - Nintendo - Contra 4 DS

Anyone else buy this game, it is %100 badass and is so hard that I want to break my DS in half. Graphics and sound are good, and theres no DS download play which blows. If you love Contra, Metal Slug (feel free to say more games that rock in this genre)or any others of the sort. Buy this game!

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

This might be the toughest game not called Ikaruga.

And no download play is a bust, but at least my brother will pick this one up.

I wish it were in better supply here (America).

I grabbed it... still in it's wrapper, too many good games out right now.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

This may be my next DS purchase. I thought about FFXII, but I'm waiting on FFIV DS for my next final fantasy. I don't think I'm gonna do Mario Party DS cause I don't play with a lot of people who own DS's.

Contra 4 has the original Contra, right? And you play co-op with multi-card?

Im not sure if it has original Contra......when I beat it in a few years I will tell you.

Tried it, used 4 continues on the first level!

Unfortunately, due to family rules, I can no longer purchase anything for myself until December 26.

See Ya George.

At least following a comedians own jokes makes his death easier.

Man... which diffculty were you guys playing on? I beat it on easy already and can get to stage 4 without using a continue on normal (although I immediately quit the game if I lose the first credit or sometimes when I lose my level 2 spreader. I have not used Konami code in trying to beat this game except twice to experiment what it does. I am kind disappointed that it only let you use it once, and any additional use will kill you)

For my gaming history on contra, I have beat Contra 1 - 3, but I used Konami code on 1 & 2 (I had them on my Famicom) and something on 3.

I manage to beat easy mode on my 2nd playthrough, which is the same day that I bought the game, last sunday.

P.S. You can unlock the original contra by beating 4 challenges in challenge mode. Challenge mode is unlocked by beating the game in any mode (easy included)

I am a PC gamer, and also have a NDS now, but without access to a Nintendo Wii until End of 2007.

Currently playing: Super Smash Brothers Brawl(Wii), Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer(DS), Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (DS), WiiFit(Wii)

Games Recently Beaten: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King (Normal; Very Hard after the next DLCs become available)

It's insanely hard (this is a good thing). I'm on level 3 on normal. It's hard to say whether I recommend this or FFXII:RW more. Both are awesome games. It depends on what genres you like I guess. FFXII:RW is an amazing RTS for a handheld, and you don't have to have played FFXII to like it. Contra 4 is an incredible revival for an incredible series. Pick your awesome game, or buy both if you can.

Then again, Contra 4 Stage 5 ripped me a new one on Stage 5, and again on Stage 6, and again on Stage 7. There's no Stage 8 in Easy, so you see the whole game on it, but it's good practice.
