Homophobia is bigger than racisim in America. Yes it's crazier that a black guy became president than a gay guy got 2nd place on American Idol. But it would be even crazier to have a gay president than a black president.

Italicized: It's a sex thing. We can have a meaningful relationship but if we initiate in sex, that's wrong. Weird, I know.

This is typical example of someone who mixes political correctness with tolerance.

People are not required to like someone and praise his way of life just because they are minority all that tolerance asks is that we  don't discriminate against them.

Well, a lot of Christians haven't read the bible and don't act nearly as they are SUPPOSED to act.
That aside, gay people are not solely discriminated based on the bible even by Christians (they were just taught to by family/environment).

If you come out in school, you're likely to be discriminated against (depending on where the school is, even by teachers/administratives) even if you've never had neither a relationship, nor sex.

Hmmm thats hard to say, People hate gays a lot, but gays dont really cause any trouble whereas black people have a much higher crime to person ratio than whites, so whites feel uneasy around them.

But in the end itd have to be gays, because gays are seen as a joke by most people whereas alot of people get on with black people just fine.
