Joke or not, it was pretty tasteless. My girlfriend is red-headed and she happens to see this forum a lot with me, and she took quite an offense to your "joke" 

Your last phrase didn't help you, if you actually tried to pass that as a joke. And trying to make those kinds of jokes in a thread that's having a serious tone to it probably wasn't a good idea as well. 

Uhhh Obama isn't black... he's mixed. Saying Obama's black is like ignoring the fact that he's half-white, which is racist.

Bah, you know what I mean.

Shit well hard for me to tell. I'm from a part of the country were toleration of very little occurs. Here don't accept different races, different religions (especially if that religion isn't one such as Atheism haha), foreigners, liberals, different sexual orientations, and of course those who "take our jobs". Pretty much white, straight, conservative Christians here haha. Alright so it's not that extreme, but point being that aside from New Orleans the area is not that accepting haha. But we've gotten better over time.

I'm assuming the rest of the country (aside from some ares in the south) are a lot more accepting but it does seem being homosexual is the top thing to discriminate against nowadays. But old guards die hard and obviously still a lot of people in this country that don't like other races. But I voted for both.

Though I do think America gets a bad rep for being nothing but a bunch of racists, haters, and elitists.  Alright maybe we fit the latter, but most of America doesn't really fit the first 2.  Can still get away with the first two down in a lot of regions in the old south (although a lot of the hate is more generalized by stereotyping region or "foreigner to the region" which makes racial lines less prevalent) but other than that really the country has come a long way.  Considering some things I've been hearing going on in Europe (especially the UK) yea we've come a long way.

I'm curious as what people mean by "the life-style". Do they mean the sleeping with a lots of different guys, partying every night, drugs, alcohol? Or is having a meaningful relationship with someone of the same sex, just as a straight couple would have, considered "the life-style" too and thus sinful too?
