People who want to work at a videogame store likely care a lot about videogames... especially considering their pay. Hence a lot are likely to be fanboys.

They push strategy guides and preorders because there are insentives to do so and that way it mitigates the crappy pay a bit if they succeed.

For me it's JB, or Gamelane if I buy online, they are REALLY cheap for some games.

Game are usually very expensive compared to EB, but they have the best random clearances. JB HI FI has the best prices over all and they never ask you anything about your purchase (like pre-orders, scratch warranty, strategy guides). I'll give you a hint though if you live in Melbourne, go to Laverton Market on Saturday and there's a guy there who sell's brand new (sealed) games for half the retail price. I bought MW2, GOW3, Bayonetta, Bioshock 2, Final Fantasy, Assasin's Creed 2 and FIFA 10 all for $55 on launch day. They have games for every platform and they also have warranties.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

There the people that make you go on an expedition in your house to find the bottle of "Goo-gone" so that you can remove all the stickers they slap on the game case without punching a hole though the plastic covering or chipping off a piece of plastic that so happens to fly into your eye causing you to scream in pain as you stand up to rush to the bathroom sink in a feeble attempt to wash the piece of plastic out of your eye.

does anyone else hate the used game prices? and terrible trade in value?

i buy games on ebay now. everything is dirt cheap.

the only time i go to gamestop anymore is to get a new release

lol about the strategy guide
I never any of these problems

" On the 8th day,God made gamestop employees and he said "let there be annoying game shop assistants" and there was annoying game shop assistants."
or if you accept evoloution..." all those hours of being stuck in gamestop shops ment that the girl adapted to be geeky hot and gained wieght since she was the only female there it didnt matter."Also the bit about the hair gel came from the fact that over time their hair dapted like that. This is because it means they spend less time on their personal hygiene and more on annoying customers.
