Once upon a time I thought like you.  Then I changed to the nun-chuk/wii-mote control and actually got good at the game. 

Don't get me wrong, the Gamecube controller is great up to a point, but there are just some things you can't do with it.  Trust me, give the Wii-mote/chuk combo a go for a few days, there will be no going back.

Unfortunately my knowledge of your games preferences and character meant I guessed where you were going with it as soon as I saw you refer to it as "Nintendo racer" more than just in the title. You should have used a proxy user.

Actually I did doubt myself a little when reading the "characters" bit, because I knew Excite Truck had no Nintendo characters in, so I presumed perhaps some of the "bots" in Excitebots were based on Nintendo characters.
Of course that is because I didn't think you would mention Barrel Blast, as it is less of a racing game and more a waste of space.

Some of you hyped Trick Racing and tricked me into buying it, too.

For Mario Kart Wii... hell yes. Wiimote+nunchuck is the superior option unless playing local multiplayer, in which case it's Wii wheel all te way. Gamecube controllers are relegated to 4th player use (I only have 3 Wii remotes)
