When you add the HD sales together you are comparing the sales of 2 platforms against the sales of one platform. That's wrong.
Also, the sales data shall get even more obvious next week.
If this game releases in America it will most likely have the same sales pattern we see in Japan but in higher numbers.

Well there are over 10 million wii's and only 6million ps3s+xbox's combined in japan. So combining the sales is fair, which shows that NMH does infact sell better on the hd consoles over the wii!!!
|
Fact is: back in NMH Wii release those were not 10 million.
Again, adding the sales of 2 platforms is wrong. NMH did worse on PS3 and 360, that's the truth.

So a 2 year old port, released outside the holiday season, that is splitting sales between two platforms is doing marginally worse than the original release according to VGChartz data.
Congrats?

NMH Wii was also released outside the Holiday season. "Splitting sales"? I don't know where do you live, but in my world a PS3 is a different machine than 360. It's usual and correct not to add the numbers of two different systems, because neither Microsoft or Sony are the same company.
And yes, congrats to the Wii :)

December 6th is outside the holiday season, especially when your whole argument is around weeks 2 and 3? And just look at nearly any Japanese PS3/360 release and you'll see an overwhelming majority buying the PS3 version. You're kidding yourself if being censored isn't what caused the sales between the PS3 and 360 to be so similar.
Bamboleo said: "Let's say, theoretically, the PS3 got the uncensored version identical to the 360 version. The total sales stay exactly the same, but the 360 version sells 5,000 less and the PS3 5,000 more. Would this then be a success in your eyes?"
No everything would remain the same having Wii in the front with the most sold flop, PS3 in second place with the middle flop, and 360 in last place with the worst flop. |
So you're saying the PS3 version would be more of a flop than the Wii version even if it sold more? And remember, when you were arguing about Reflex's success, you operated under the belief that a port is essentially free. So I guess the PS3/360 versions were huge successes since they are just free money.
