When you add the HD sales together you are comparing the sales of 2 platforms against the sales of one platform. That's wrong.

 

Also, the sales data shall get even more obvious next week.

If this game releases in America it will most likely have the same sales pattern we see in Japan but in higher numbers.

 

 


Well there are over 10 million wii's and only 6million ps3s+xbox's combined in japan. So combining the sales is fair, which shows that NMH does infact sell better on the hd consoles over the wii!!!

Niche "hardcore" games do sell extremely well on Wii. Shitty games like MadWorld only can dream of selling almost 500k units on Wii.

 

Regarding the OP, since we are talking specifically about Japan I disagree, both versions bombed hard there.

This proves my point that this game wouldn't sell better in any HD console due to the watered down controls, despite of the graphical treatment.

From now on, sales for each platform shall differ even more since it is a known fact that Wii software usually has more legs than the HD consoles.

This should be enough to stop the wrong discussion that went a few weeks ago about PS3 or 360 being more appropriate to sell a franchise like no more heroes, which they aren't.

 

 

If they were released at the same time you'd probably be able to make that conclusion, but since this port is incredibly late and a sequel for it actually came out before this port there are other mitigating factors that make it so you cannot in good faith make that conclusion.

Well the sequel NMH2 hasn't actually been released in Japan yet. Last I heard there was no release date for it announced in Japan, so who knows if/when it will be released.

Explain your logic. If there were 10.1 million PS3s and 360s combined in Japan, combining the sales wouldn't be fair...?

No More Heroes underperformed in Japan both on HD consoles and the Wii. Trying to find a winner among them seems very pointless imo.

I'm saying it is fair to combine the sales of nmh on both hd consoles since there's a lot less hardware out than the wii. This shows it is selling better than on the wii!
