Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo announces 'Wii Party'

I hope this isn't considered trolling, as I'm not trying to bash what the game has to offer...but that's not a very original name...I mean, wasn't there a title for Move called Move Party?

Either way, the details are interesting.

Ya! Nintendo is clearly copying Sony here and they even try to release it before Sony! How dare they!

When is the game releasing anyway?

And I'm not necessarily saying they copied their idea, as the game was probably in development for a while. But we haven't heard about it until today. They could've used a synonym of the word "Party" at least.

In other words, the title itself isn't original, not what the game has to offer.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

The good thing is that maybe they'll stop using Mario for their Mario Party titles.

Why do people say that this is a cheap cash in? some people don't know Nintendo at all it seems.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Hopefully this game has motion plus support and online, then I might give it a look. Otherwise I will probably pass. At this stage of the Wii's life, Nintendo needs to start supporting these features.

1) They think they know the general budgets of games, when very few budgets of any games have been announced in reality.

2) It's a way to put down any game they don't like, since low budget=bad, and big budget=great (do not acknowledge Too Human).

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Nintendo doesn't really care what the competition does, so why avoid the perfect name for this title?

OT: I can't wait to know if this is from Miyamoto.

I'm not saying it's wrong. It's just unoriginal. Like I said, I know Nintendo will bring forward new ideas for this title.

And anyways, on second thought, before Move Party there's Mario Party.

A lot of people have wanted a Mario Party 9, I guess this is the replacement.

I do wonder though, how will more people take Nintendo seriously if they themselves run the party well dry? I only expect a shovelware resurgence at this point. It will sell a lot, but that is the problem.

They should have some heat at E3 though.....................I hope.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

If this fills the shoes of the Mario Party game I've been waiting for I'm all for it. But this game should really have online play yet at the same time I don't expect it to :/

An aside, but did anyone notice that the Vitality Sensor was notably absent from the investor briefing? Interesting..
