Forums - Sony - Should Sony San Diego (MLB The Show , NBA The Inside) , make a football?

Yes, mankind needs another football game like it needs another Robin Hood Movie!

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Lol kind of weird, I was going to make a thread asking if I was the only one who missed This is Football. Wouldn't be a bad idea to give it to San Diego. Don't get me wrong, I've always loved Fifa (since 2002), but if it had a worthy competitor (PES is bull... well, it isn't good nowadays) then the quality and evolution would be more significant on each delivery. Sort of a 360vsPS3 rivalry.

to me the animations today are the same thing as they were back in 2004, which is a shame, now were in another gen there is no excuse, this also implies to WWE games, they're the same on PS2 as they are on PS3 =/

but they did however do UFC right thought the character faces look ugly still.

Not sure I like the idea of Americans making a football game.

Two franchises is enough, to be honest. They'll both dominate the market anyway.

Creo q están hablando de Fútbol! no Football !

last I checked, it takes more than simply fluid animation to make a great sports game that captures what fans expect of the sport, and nothing about a studio grasping baseball translates to them understanding soccer. just because they are both sports doesn't mean someone who is expert in one is expert in the other, just as being a great baseball player doesn't mean someone is going to be a great soccer player.

lol i wonder how many ppl you fooled into thinking this was about the nfl by writing football instead of soccer in the thread title. (myself included)

While more competition is always welcome, and I would hope for one, seeing how they've done a good job on others. would an american dev be the best one to make a soccer game?

as for the few who mentioned hopes for an nfl game. Hasn't EA locked up the rights to the nfl player's association for quite a while. that's why we've been getting arcade type football games. (unless that agreement is already over, in which disregard my uneducated response lol)

Heyyy let's not say ugly things lol The animations definetly got much better... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zQSWOTS3Gw ... but I would agree with you if you said that they aren't as good as they said it would be.

Why the hell did you say "football" in the title but "soccer" in the OP?

OT: No, with FIFA and PES the soccer video game market is pretty crowded already. I'd say once Madden's exclusive NFL license is expired they should make an [American] football game.
