Forums - Gaming - Who here has played the great $5.99 RPG Zenonia?

It came out for Android about a month ago. Its an iPhone RPG that was critically acclaimed.

I bought it, and honestly? It compares very well with my DS RPG collection, at a fraction of the price.

Although my older MyTouch isn't quite the optimal device for a game like this, I've enjoyed it immensely, as it reminds me of old SNES top-down RPGs like Secret of Mana or the Quintet SoulBlazer-Terranigma series. I'm about 6hrs in, and at level 16. I'm in my first boss cave (Cave of Deceit), and its kicking my butt right now. The touch screen interface, IMO, works great. It does away with some of the myths that a touchscreen phone can't handle action-based gameplay. I'm not going to say its perfect, but it still works great for what it is.

And the price? $5.99 brand new. I can't remember the last time I paid that much for a game that has sucked so much time away.

I'd like to hear comments from others that have purchased Zenonia. If your interested, its for most major Smartphones, including Android, iPhone and WinMo.

And for the sales data people, Zenonia has sold ~200k copies on iPhone, 7k pn Android, and 2k on WinMo....And rising quickly on the 2 smaller platforms as its pretty new there.

I have, fun game and the price is great... I bought Zenonia 2 a month ago but then came Chaos Rings so that took all my time.. go buy Zenonia 2.. pvp online multiplayer.. btw isn't Zenonia 1 like $2.99? cause it's 2,39 euro's in the Appstore..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

$5.99 on Android :-p

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Looks like a poor mans Secret of Mana, I'd rather just spend just as much for Sword of Mana on GBA and have just as much fun.

But I also lack an iPhone and iPod touch nor do I care to get one... so maybe if they made this available on other systems or able to be played on steam or something I'd look into it.

It's coming to DSiWare soon for those who lack smartphones.

Is not this on DSiWare?

I paid $.99 for it, put in about 6 hours then "accidentally" got Dungeon Hunter (Gamelofts Diablo rip-off) and that sucked me in.

Edit: Pretty cool game, but I would really like physical buttons for it.
