A month before the E3 and companies are starting to announce their big games for this Holidays.

Today, Ubisoft announced that Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2 is being developed by Ubisoft Bucharest. The title will launch in Fall 2010 on Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 system, the Nintendo Wii system, and Windows PC.

Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2 plunges fans into an explosive environment where they can become elite aerial soldiers in control of the world's most technologically advanced aircraft. The game will appeal to a wide array of gamers as players will have the chance to control exceptional pilots trained to use cutting edge technology in amazing aerial warfare missions.

"With over one million units sold worldwide, Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. has become a very successful brand for Ubisoft,"
stated Bogdan Bridinel, creative director at Ubisoft "This new H.A.W.X. game is directly inspired by Tom Clancy's books, and it will enable fans to once again experience the excitement and intensity that established H.A.W.X. as a successful brand"
I wonder if they're really going to improve this one in the same way they improve Assessins Creed..... who knows.

Did Hawx 1 ever make it out on Wii?
Or is that due in October?

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Yes, one of the first titles for the Wii.

The first one had some potential. What killed it was the forgettable story and characters as well as most of the objectives being to provide cover for something.

It's a shame that the game could support tons of aircraft on large maps with lots of ground/sea targets at the same time, but you really only saw these intense moments only a few times (like Rio and Washington DC). I like the idea of having tons of things happening all around you between allies and enemies.

Perhaps I should check out the Ace Combat series? Trailers I've seen for one or two of the games show cutscenes with TONS of aircraft. Does that stay the same for actual gameplay?

I do not understand your answer. Hawx has never been released for the Wii and has a November 2010 release date. Hawx 2 is scheduled to release for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and the Wii in the fall according to Ubisoft. Therefore my question to you is this. Are you saying that Hawx will be released by Ubisoft in the Fall followed by the release of Hawx 2?

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba

Last I heard, the Wii version of HAWX was originally scheduled for a year after the initial releases but then got canned.

HAWX 1 is probably never coming to the Wii, it was never announced, but just heavily rumoured...

Anyway, I really enjoyed the first one, and I can't wait for a second. The real question is why haven't we seen another Ace Combat game on the home consoles?

I also think that this still leaves 1 Tom Clancy game to be announced, hopefully that is another Rainbow Six.

Also, I wouldn't expect the same sort of improvements we saw with ACI to AC II, the reason for the improvements were the massive investment that Ubisoft made, and I doubt that will happen for HAWX.
