WOW
It beat the DS, too!
If you had told me a year ago the Wii would sell this well, I would have doubted you. *munches on Crow*
Nintendo keeps printing money.
There is no such thing as a console war. This is the first step to game design.

A bunch of us have been saying it for the last year. And we have received many doubts.
Well... Unless Japan Sells 80k, no 15 million this week for Nintendo =)
But, you never can tell!
Very Impressive sales all around.
Sony's estimate of 245% was slightly an overshoot, but all in all, they were very close to their statement.
Predictions For Last Full Week of Sales in 2010)
WII - 80.35 Million
360 - 43.88 Million
PS3 - 41.40 Million
More terrible predictions coming Jan. 2011!!!
Now I really wonder how much stockpiling Nintendo did during the year. If they can continue outselling the 360 2:1, the gap will get smaller much faster than anyone expected, especially at this incredible sales levels!
Very impressive sales for wii hardware, nearly 480,000. Nintendo the money printing machine.... Im more interested in seeing how third party games continue to sell for the wii, with all this money they are raking in why dont they offer to advertise for companies making games for the wii which score an average of say 80% on review scores across the net. It would encourage third partys to make better games, and it would be in teir interest as they could get free advertising.
Maybe they just prefer collecting all that money so they can stockpile it until they have built a tower that reaches the moon... Which should happen in about four weeks
No of course you are right and that would be a good idea, but looking at Nintendo's track record in terms of advertising and marketing I wouldn't expect it anytime soon or in other words, never.
most wiis sold in one week ever and they still cant sell more than the DS - pathetic
