Forums - Sales - The Wii this week in NA or this is what happens when there is thanksgiving!

Awesome Wii sales!

As a longtime Nintendo fan, I can't say more than that. I'd never imagined a Nintendo console to sell like that ever again, yet it did... From now on, there is no looking back until christmas!

Great sales considering the Wii is still sold out here. Their production rate must be increasing.

The thing about Wii is that people bring it to Thanksgiving gatherings to show it to their families.  I know at least six people who did last year, and about ten people who did it this year.

When people show the ease of use to ~10+ people at Thanksgiving, the sales momentum spreads as you almost always hook at least one person.

Where I live in NJ, all the trendy places with bars and attractive waitresses still use Wii for Thursday Night & Friday night events as a way of promoting community and getting people to keep eating at their place.

No sorry Rol I lied, I only started liking them five minutes ago when I saw that they sold 479k in one week in the USA

The question now is what happens in December? Can it do 3 million? 4 million?

Impressive! I wonder if Wii sold out again...
