I see it like this.

Lebron: Stays in Cleveland

Dwayne Wade: Goes to Chicago.

Chris Bosh: Does a Sign and trade to Cleveland or New York

Carlos Boozer: New York or Clippers if New York gets Bosh.

Joe Johnson: New York, Clippers or Cleveland.

Shaquille O'Neal: No clue.

Hedo Turkoglu: Washington makes sense. Can't see them trading FOR Vince Carter though. They may just release him. What a sad deal that was. It's what he deserved for renigging on his deal.

There's no way Wade goes to Chicago by himself, especially with him proposing the free agent meeting for them to all get together and collaborate on possible landing spots. Plus he recently was critical of Chicago's front office, which tells me it's not where he wants to go. Frankly I think he convinces one of the other guys to come to Miami.

I think it's just a ploy.  I mean... why aren't Scottie Pippin and Michael Jordan still a part of the Bulls?

1) Where does that happen anywhere?

2) Jordan is a NC man by heart

D. Wade isn't that stupid.

As for convincing other guys to come to Miami, unless they wanna sign for less that has to happen in a sign and trade.

To get a sign and trade... you need to be able to offer the other team something for them to go through with the sign and trade.

Miami doesn't have anything worth trading for.

There second best player is Beasly... and he's a bust.

Draft picks?  What to the team that will have D-Wade and another star?  They may not be finals contenders but they won't be a lottery team.

I'd be more likely to believe he'd go somewhere else in a sign and trade then someone goes to Miami in one.

Lebron's career is just started... and besides.

The Best Quarterback in the history of the NFL was Dan Marino.

Trent Dilfer ain't better.

I love Marino, but that's a no. :(

Can't see Clippers to spend the money to get either Boozer or Johnson, not to mention both. Can't see Wade going to Chicago either.

On the topic of Wade, I just think there is something wrong with him. He looked unstoppable in Finals against Dallas. He was amazing in Olympics. However, he doesn't look that good to me in Boston series. I wonder if the injuries he's had already slowed him down a bit and he could never be the same anymore.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Everyone is reporting that Miami has enough to sign a max player and another decent contract on top of that. Where are you getting that it would take a sign and trade to bring someone else into Miami? I think Stoudemire is a possibility to end up there.

Miami has almost 19 million in cap space, they would have to trade other players to make more room for TWO big contract deals, unless those players took less money that is. I doubt they would.

Nintendo still doomed?

I meant to put one max contract, not two. Miami has enough to resign Wade and give him a helping hand. I'm not talking Lebron, because he doesn't need Lebron to win championships. There are other good free agents available that can definitely help the Heat out.

Because a sign and trade is the only way to sign a second person to a max contract.

The current team is allowed to sign a star player to an extra year.

This is why pretty much every big free agent move is via "Sign and Trade."

Stars want that extra year.

Here is a good article explaining it...

http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/05/nba-free-agency-did-the-heat-clear-too-much-space.php

Though he forgets about the X-factor this free agency season.

Collective Barganing.

It's coming and the players are going to be HURT.  The owners are rallying to hold down player salaries and even greatly reverse them.  (Largely because of GM incompetance and the weird way the salary cap works so your forced to spend cap space.)

Anyway... that extra year will be of vital importance... even to guys like Lebron.  The future is unknown, but all that is known is that most... if not all players will have their pocketbooks hurt.

If you mean Boozer or Johnson... they're going to be max guys... it's just the way the NBA is... and why the owners have to save themselves from their incompetant GMs... and well... incompetant selves.

I don't know what else you could of meant by "one of the other guys" in your original post.  I mean lately comments like that have been reffered to James, Wade, Johnson and Bosh... who plan to talk over the deals they get.

only players worth max deals are wade and lebron...anyone else gets a max deal and the gm of that team needs to be bitch slapped

Toronto do a sign and trade for Joe Johnson! Give them Turkoglu and some expirings
