I think it's just that Laker Fans aren't used to losing.  So they're SUPER paranoid about when Kobe gets over the hill.  It's a smart adaptation of his game, I bet he gets a few more years out of it then he would of if he couldn't adapt, but its blatantly obvious that he's already reached his physical prime.

Lakers fans are spoiled like crazy... espiecally the new ones... when Kobe drops off... they better hope they can get a new star.

I didn't even think there could be a question about this. What surprised more is that there are more replies claiming Kobe + Gasol is better. Did any of you watch NBA back in Lakers three peat days during 2000-2002? I was (and still am) a huge Spurs fan but have to admit that Shaq was a freaking monster then. You simply can't stop him in the paint. Think Dwight Howard with a post move and more affective offensive game. What if he can't hit free throws? I don't remember any critical game that Lakers lost because Shaq missed the FTs. I'll take Derek Fisher with Shaq and it would still comparable with Kobe and Gasol since Fisher can just make the entry pass to Shaq in the paint every single possesion and Gasol would not be able to do anything to stop Shaq except fouling him.

How many rings does Kobe have were he is the undisputed leader? ONE. how many does Shaq have? THREE! I could make a strong argument of why he's the 2nd best center of all time and the most dominant. I'm guessing your a 13-16 year old that just got into Basketball around the time Kobe scored 81? Shaq was a beast. The fact that he's still considered a top 10 center way after his prime is gone, says a lot.
