Dark Sector's storytelling was pretty awful.I still after finishing it don't know what was going on...

I think it would have to go to a game that tried really hard to present what was thought as a decent story, but ultimately failed.

Nothing really comes to mind for me; maybe Dark Rift.

Na for me it would be the Mario games. After a while i see no motivation to keep hunting for stars when i know what's gonna happen. Thats what happened in Galaxy for me...

MGS4 has a meaning. Might not be the best-told one, compared to other entries, but it makes sense. NG is just plain non-sensical.

 

Edit: Well **** me for not reading the person you quoted. Still, I think people are being a bit TOO harsh on MGS4.

Almost anything Final Fantasy related. It's not even qualified as serivceable. It might not be this bad in my eyes if mainline FF games weren't that dependant on story-telling and present some decent gameplay instead I'd enjoy.
