gotta love how nintendo loyals fell in love with a franchise they barely knew before...

People have fallen in love with a series now that they can play it? Unheard of! I, for one, believe in blindly supporting all big series regardless of whether they were ever released on a console I own, but that is just me. Are you trying to make some point here?

For anything Wii related, Gansito always (always, no matter what) posts something negative. No need to respond, this is the worst he could concoct on short notice regarding MH3.

Tbh I really don't get the Capcom hate, Z&W, RE:UC, RE:DC, TVC and MH3 are better efforts then any other third party dev on the Wii and it's like Capcom have just kept on coming back to the Wii, I have no doubt they already have something else on the way. Even if you compare the HD support they give the's not actually a massive gap between the difference in quality and the actual quantity isn't that much different either between Wii and HD from Capcom.

one think you should learn is never trust Capcom , they will milk you up to the last dime.

If Capcom is the best 3rd party devolper for Wii, then the Wiis prospects are truely lacking. I have to say that the best 3rd party devlopers on Wii can be found in WiiWare games. The fact that Capcom has made great games for the Wii is amazing because it is in spite of their poor support.

Even Chop Till You Drop isn't that bad. If the only reason it's hated is they supposedly didn't spend enough money, then why isn't Too Human one of the best games ever, since it had plenty of those? Okay, the other reason is the zombie count, then the original didn't have that many either (I just found that out the other day, as various things kept me from playing the game as much as I wanted). You know the zombies appearing out of nowhere? That's in the original as well. Sure it's nowhere near as obvious or common, but the point is that it wasn't created for CTYD to fake the zombie count. It was in the original game as well.

This relates to the thread since I admit it otherwise isn't their top games for the Wii, but is still not something to apologize for. None of their Wii games are. What they should apologize for is thinking the Wii isn't worthy of their other HD games (especially since they are essentially prettier 6th gen games, unlike Dead Rising, ironically their only HD game they converted to the Wii so far).

Monster Hunter 3 on the Wii was just a knee jerk reaction to poor initial PS3 sales. If Capcom had known the PS3 wasn't dead on arrival, I'm sure they wouldn't have scrapped all their work and started anew on the Wii. We can pretend that Capcom sees the Wii as more than a second class system, but the truth is the Wii was their "Plan B".

@innervate, i dk man. Considering the length of FF 13, and the size of MH3, i would hesitate to guess that going SD was easier, offered more armor/weapon depth options and ensured consistency of look and developer experience between PS2 and Wii.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Many developers are so blinded by their ideas that the most detailed graphics is king that they don't care about the costs or the sacrifices of what actually makes games good.

Actually, their knee jerk reaction was to make their ps3 titles multiplat ps3/360, like Devil May Cry.  Monster Hunter was the only franchise that moved to Wii, and given Monster Hunter 3 was (re)announced for Wii by Iwata himself, I think we all know the real reason Capcom made such a decision.

Outside of Zack & Wiki, I haven't seen much evidence that Capcom has any interest in making a serious effort on the Wii when they aren't working directly with Nintendo.

Change "Wii" with "GameCube" and its last gen all over again.
