Why- He is the only main character that has a real personality and all around seems to be a good guy...IMO the best FF character ever.

Why- He's just badass and you know it

Rydia

She has an awesome tragic story, that gets so cool as the story progresses, and it was the first time that I can think of that FF had an actual side storyline you could do for one of the characters. She is quite well fleshed out as a character (Hah! Fleshed out, double entendre!). Also, she's super badass, once you get her to high level she can summon, do high level black magic and when she has her ultimate weapon she deals almost as much physical damage as one of the fighters, with a chance to paralyze! One of my favorite characters of all time actually.



No one in the world ever gets what they want, and that is beautiful.

Lol yeah Vivi is an amazing character, he's so confused and yet so cool...

Hmm, can't really say my favourite, I mean, I loved the entire cast of Final Fantasy IX, I loved Sazh from XIII, I adore Kefka from VI... and as for the ultimate badass protagonist... definitely Auron.

Too many to list, but I'll post my favorite character from each FF I played:-

IV - Rydia (read CommonMan's post)
VI - Celes (one of my favorite characters of all-time, thanks to her memorable moments in the game) & Kefka (*points at my avatar*)

VII - Vincent (him >>>> cloud+sephiroth)
VIII - Laguna (If he was the main character, VIII would easily be my favorite game of all-time)
IX - VIVI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
X - Auron ('nuff said)
XIII - Fang (The only character I really like in the game).
