Considering it's holiday season and the Xbox 360 is losing some steam while Mass Effect is having "disappointing sales" I wonder why MS is quiet. They haven't even made a press release re. last month's NPD results. I wonder why :0 

They're selling more than the PS3 worldwide, and it'll take more than a year to lose second place in Europe at this pace. They're also in a good position to cut prices, so they're doing pretty well if you ask me.

I think this is more a case of Sony PR making everyone else in the industry sound timid to the point of muteness. =P

Not according to VGchartz. PS3 outsold it two weeks already and still nothing, no word from MS PR. It's still doing good but not good enough and I don't think a price cut is going to help this time.

They have to be more convincing than their silence if they want to have a nice share this holiday season.

They are already having a nice season - don't forget that alot of poeple have lay byed there consoles and it doesnt go through untill they pay the whol of the console - i know about 60 mothers that have brought 360's for their children.

Yes, i work in a hardware store, in which we deal massively in games... nintendo wii is actually selling the best, following the 360 and then ofcourse, the ps3.

The PS3 sold 9k, week ending 17th November, 13k more, week ending 10th November and the PS3 could very well sell another 10-20k more last week as well.

Yes, it will take some time for the PS3 to overtake the 360 (if it evry does), but it certainly is growing very quickly in comparison.

• 8 months after the 360 was released in Europe it had sold 1.28m
• 8 months after the PS3 was released in Europe it had sold 1.98m

Also, take into consideration that the PS3 hasn't had an Xmas season yet, whereas the 360 did have one in it's first 8 months.  The PS3 has sold a whopping 700k more in the same time frame.

Not just knowing 60 mothers who have bought a 360, but 60 mothers that haven't actually paid for the 360 as well.

Yeah, thats what i ment. well... about 40 now... some have been paid off.
