Sorry, end of gen was poor wording

 

I intended the question as 'by the time all hardware and all software for all the competitors stops selling' So I suppose I meant lifetime sales, not end of gen.

 

So your prediction is 360 will still be ahead when the 8th gen starts, what about end of lifetime sales?

Wii, because the hardware will sell FOREVER, and it's already slowly catching up to the 360. And as Machina pointed out, it has several games hovering in the 900Ks.

If it's end of life as mentioned, the PS3 since, even if Wii will sell forever, the software that will sell forever with the Wii will be a few very well selling games, while new things will sell mire on Wii2.
Xbox will have to duke it out with the PS3, and the PS3 is showing it can sell software, while at the same time showing that is it more future proof than the Xbox, thus it will have a longer meaningful stay on the market, with lots of diverse games, many of them having the potential to sell a million. (This is a long time prediction, say 5 more years including this one to know if it can be true or not.)

It looks like it will be Wii in the end. Right now Xbox 360 has the most by 16 titles.

Interestingly enough, Wii has nearly double the number of titles which have sold more than 5 million (7 vs 12), and over triple the number which have sold 10 million (2 vs 7).

Wii - Most likely will
360 - Depends on Natal but still a small chance of holding on without Natal succeeding
PS3 - Not a chance as it will not have enough exclusives to make up the gap, the 360 benefits from the extra year of exclusives it had pre launch of the PS3, from here on out 99% of titles will be multiplatform with similar attachment rates to similar userbase numbers. It is feasible the PS3 will catch up a little but not enough to usurp the others numbers.
