Well, VgChartz and Nintendo fans, we all know Nintendo may be perfect but they are not flawless (lolwut?)
So this is a thread to discuss, which, in your opinion, are Nintendo's BAD games and why you think that.
Everything goes! Even if you find Mario Galaxy to be utter crap, you'll be well welcomed here (but hope we don't meet in real life, fool!)
The only rule is that only Nintendo made games are mentioned - but there are exceptions, like Rare, which was so close to Nintendo at a certain point I consider their games Nintendo too.
So I'll begin with two classics:
Zelda II - The adventures of Link
The black sheep of the zelda family. The main reason I dislike this game is because it moved the series to a more D&D type of gaming, with levels, generic spells and some uninspired (very similar with one another) dungeons. Plus lots of similar towns (a first and last for Zelda) and some very bad design choices for a zelda game, like 1 ups, overworld and platforming.
And to add to that, bad sounds (that sword noise is annoying) and music (I don't like the main theme, very rare for a zelda game!!!!). And bad graphics, too, especially in the overworld. I mean, this is not good, no matter the age it was made.
All in all, it's a bad Nintendo game, imo. And i'm not saying that comparing it to the other zeldas. I'm saying it's a bad game on it's own. There are some good things about it - err... maybe only shadow link - but I can't find the will to play this thing again, ever. And Nintendo games almost nothing do that to me - hell, I'm playing Mario and Wario now, who does that!
Now to a more modern game:
Yoshi's Story
What the FUCK Nintendo! That was one of my most antecipated games ever - you made me starve for this sequel after the epic Mario World 2 - Yoshi's Island. But this game turned out to be bad, but not only bad... an insult to the fans! It's not a complete change of formula like Zelda 2... it's the same formula, but made crap! Wait, not the same formula, you shoot eggs, you jump from platform to platform... but they replaced baby mario with... MELONS! Yes... you have to eat everything to finish the levels... and boy, that's easy, since there's fruit everywhere!!! Not only that the graphics are kinda lame, brurry and abusing on the effects and forgetting about the visual style (like the first crayon themed game) and the sounds are just plain annoying - yoshi yoshes every single second of playing!
The only redeeming thing about this game is this: sooooooooooooooooo cute, it always melt my heart :'D
They are nintendo games and it breaks my heart saying those things about them. But a bad game is a bad game, no matter who made them.
But, agree, disagree with my choices? Any other Nintendo games you think are bad, but really BAD? Share!
