Read it here. Apparently "technical issues" are keeping the games from being released on the Nintendo DS.

My first instinct is to call "bullshit" on their technical claims, but then part of me figues they're probably just waiting for the 3DS/trying to give people an excuse to claim they'll be coming out on the PSP.

What do you guys think?

Yeah bullshit, it won't be that hard, not a hard as a FF VII remake.

Just move em to 3DS

FF6 deserves the best remake it can get, I would want a full 3D EPIC on the PS3

but that aint happening so 3DS at the least please for FF6

but I want FF5 the most out of them as I've never played FF5.

They're going to wait 10 years for the tech to catch up with their vision. Then they're going to spend 5 years on the cutscenes. Then they're going to release a 30 year old game.

FF6 is a lot bigger than FF4, but the DS is a lot stronger than a SNES. They're waiting for the next DS. I don't see why they can't just put 1-6 on GBA, or put 1-6 on DS, or put 1-6 on 3DS. I don't want to have 1-2 on GBA, 3-4 on DS, and 5-6 on 3DS.

Or they could just put a 1-6, 1-7, or 1-10 Ultimate Collection on every single console next gen, and then leave the damn franchise alone for a decade.

Darth took the words right out my mouth. A 3DS ff5 and ff6 remake will do the games justice since it is rumored to have the same graphics as powerful as a gamecube.

Lame. I mean, with FFVI I can kinda see the point, the game's already goegeous in 2D and I don't think Matrix's DS engine would really do it justice. On the other hand, FFV could translate extremely well, and is probably the FF most in need of a remake imo.

They should do V on DS as a last hurrah, then start with VI on 3DS...

Being that the 3DS is supposedly coming out rather soon they should both just be released on it. Not to mention it might help them sell better, We have so many RPG's already on the D.S. I am missing a couple I can not get at this time. Including Bowsers inside Story and Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey

They could probably fit 1-12 on a single BR disc pretty easy, with lots of extras

But I like the DS remake of IV enough that I don't min paying full price for the games individually. I am their ideal consumer whore.
