stupid sony if they are not so cocky and arrogant in the beginning, if they started humble, listen to the crowd, give goodies to please fans and developers like now, they would hav reach more than 10 mil by now.
well i guess ps2 success really blind their mind, n i think sony had learn their lesson.

There will definitely be some people who avoid getting a Wii because of the rush, but I think the number of them that get a PS3 instead are going to be fairly small. The problem here is just how different the consoles are in terms of image right now. But more than that I think for former Wii shoppers the price is going to be a very big deterent. Again, I think there will be some people who do this, but the number who do is going to be insignificantly small on the scale of holiday sales. Small enough that it isn't a factor.

Yes they could hit 10 million before April 08, however that wasn't what Sony's prediction was, they thought they were going to sell 11 million this fiscal year, so you can take away 3.7 (about that i think) million away from whatever they end up with.
If i remember in the recent fiscal reports they changed it from 11 million to 10 million for the fiscal. (someone correct me if i am wrong) though i will be suprised if they manage 7 million myself (which would be 10.7 million LTD before April)

The end of March is the end of Sony's fiscal year, and that's what I have predicted for quite a while now. I wasn't going by what Sony had predicted to sell, just what I expected cumulative sales to be. Who knows, maybe the PS3 will really take off and sell like gangbusters even after xmas? Maybe Sony has a plan shortly after Xmas to do another price drop, or some other incentive to really draw people to the system.

I think it was originally 11 million BY the end of the fiscal year, not 11 million for this fiscal year. Small change in word choice, big difference in meaning.

I wouldn't bet my testicle on anything. Anyway i hope the PS3 does sell alot. Simply because i want it to get some more good games, and increased user base might just motivate developers to make them.
I'm 106% sure it will.
