Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo should make an updated Wiimote to incl Wii M+ in the controller.

I like the Wiimote on its own, but I really don't like it with the Wii M+ attachment because it makes the controller longer, heavier and more unwieldy. If M+ is important to the console in my opinion at least it makes sense to combine the two devices permamently in a more elegant package. If they are going to continue bundling both Wii Sports and Resort with the same console then it makes sense at least to me to have the two combined. It would also make the whole package more consumer friendly and that has obvious benefits for accessibility, not to mention being an effective price cut on extra controllers.

Sounds good in theory, but it would confuse the market. It would be confusing to distinguish between controllers with and without the technology. It's easier for them simply to include MotionPlus in the box, both with the system and with extra contollers, as they often have been doing lately.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

What happens if you stack 2 M+?

So long as it looked sufficiently different I don't think there would be any confusion. Im not suggesting that it should look exactly like the original Wiimote, however its likely that even if it did look identical words like Wii Motion + would probably sort out any consumer confusion. It wouldn't be any worse than the confusion about which games do and do not use the attachment IMO at least.

problem is, alot of older Wii games that use motion but no Wii Motion Plus cant be played when a Wii Motion Plus is connected.

^^ So at the very worst put a little toggle switch somewhere to turn M+ on or off. I'd rather them do it with software somehow though.

I agree btw, a new Wiimote+ would be a good addition. Built in M+, an improved speaker and a built in receiver for the other new standard controller they need to release; a wireless nun-chuck. Sell the combo for $64.99 and I'd buy it in a heart beat.

A company already does this.
