Should I get a PSP Go?

PSP is really underrated, if you can get a Go and price is not a problem, I'd get it, if price is an issue, I'd get the 3000.

NO get a go if you don't mind it being 100% digital since it's a way better build because it's so much smaller! However it has the exact same amount of pixels as the psp3000 so imges look as good. I doubt a psp 2 willl be released by even april 2011 and if it is it's sure to support the psn store so your go is very future proof- at least for 3-4 years

Wow! This is incredible

Never before in the history of VGChartz has this happened!

There has been a poll, where the most votes has NOT gone to the outcome that Sony execs would prefer to be most popular.

Sure, it's winning by 1, but that's still ludicrous.

I think that shows you just how much you should NOT get a PSP:Go. If you like PSP games, get a 3000. Or wait till E3 and see

psp2 most probably happen at e3

and psp go price cut is coming soon, sony said themselves.

if yo have the money to buy this and then PSP 2 then you are GO.

I didn't buy PSP GO for the same reason cause i think PSP2 will be announced at E3 as PSP completes its 6 years cycle and new DS launching

If you value the PSP Go's smaller, more compact design, and all of the games you currently want are available in digital format from the PSN store, then I would say yes given $150 price you mentioned.

Thanks for the reply's guys! I'm still on the fence, especially with a tight poll so far! I thought about it, and remembered how big the non-go PSP's are. I think if I was going to do it I would get a go, because I'm sold on DD for portables (I own a dozen iPhone games already). The big hangup now is the potential for the PSP2 soon. Also, the potential for divorce less than 2 months after marraige due to buying ANOTHER game system.

I've bought my PSP Go couple of months back, I have no problems with it whatsoever. It's nice that you can play PSOne classics and PSP exclusive games both on the same device. It's small, slick and sexy. 16 GB is enough for dozen of games and another 16gb will set you for life (too bad these cards are expensive as hell).

If I were you I might wait till E3, just in case we get PSP2 instead. I got my PSP Go for full launch price and I don't regret it one bit. It's much better than big fat PSP 3000, I use it while travelling a lot and it's a delight.

MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising

I'll tell you the same thing I tell everyone else. If you like the games on the PSP, get one.

As for getting a PSP simply to play old PSX games, I wouldn't. You can go to any hole in the wall used game store or even a thrift store and find a used Playstation for 10-20 bucks and then just buy the original games for that. And the selection for what you can play on the PSP will always be limited.

Or, he could just play the original disc games on his PS3.

If he has a PS3 compatible with playing older games.  As many of the newer ones, they removed that feature.
