Just finished Final Fantasy III (DS):

This is a good game, but like a lot of the RPG's from the NES era, very light on story. Save the world, crystals, warriors of light, etc. The games fun is in it's job system. It's a ton of fun to mess around and find the best (and sucks when you find the worst) combinations of jobs.

Overall, it's a pretty easy game, especially if you're old hand at this type of thing and can identify good level grinding spots (they stick out like a sore thumb in this game). It's fairly unbalanced though, where you'll get a few random difficulty spikes, but I think I died about 4 or 5 times throughout the whole 26 hour adventure. And 26 hours is about all you can expect, as I did just about everything in that time and beat the game at level 61, but could have done it at 56.

It holds up well for a 20+ year old game, and the 3D engine that Matrix software has created for the DS is beautiful, well worth looking into if you love turn-based JRPG's like I do.

8.5/10

Finished Avatar about a week ago, expected it to be poor but in actual fact its not a bad game. Does nothing revelutionary but everything is solid. 7-8 or there abouts

assumption is the mother of all f**k ups

I just finished Halo Wars 20 minutes ago. The game is easy to play and features the best controlls ever for an RTS on a console. I stopped playing some time ago becuase RL-problems were huge and I had no time to get my hands on it again.

Pros:

  • BEST controls ever fpr an RTS on a console, really no issue at all
  • BEST CGI cutscenes I have ever seen on my screen. Really spectacular
  • The setting is always something different. They really had some nice ideas.
  • For a nerd like me a nice addition to the Halo universe.
  • Great Xbox Live experience
  • Features coop

Cons:

  • Just a few multiplayer maps for a RTS
  • Imbalanced. Some units are way too powerful IMO
  • Balance patches were very late onlive

Overall:

8.8 / 10

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Batman: Arkham Asylum

Just finished the story mode. Pretty good, especially if you are a Batman fan. I've been trying the challenges but I just can't seem to get interested. Not saying they are bad, just that I can't seem to get interested in them.

beat socom fire team bravo 3, it was short but good!

I'm not trying to be a troll or anything, but how does Halo Wars stack up against PC RTS games like Empire: Total War and World in Conflict when it comes to pure strategic thinking.  I have heard that Halo Wars is a little light in those regards, and would like to get the opinion of someone who has played it.

I finished God of War III last week.
I was pulled into it from the begening. The stroy is noting special, but everything else is above average.
PROS:
- Graphics
- Soundtrack
- Combat System (GamePlay in General)
- Outstanding boss fights.

CONS:
- I want more. :(
- The story lacks a little, but I wasn't expecting anything big anyway.

I give it a 9/10

At some point, something must have come from nothing...
