Forums - Gaming - Why do people dislike easy games?

I like when games aren't too easy. Oh too often, when a game is easy, I feel a the game is holding my hand and I'm just doing what I'm doing to kill time as supposed to feeling a sense of accomplishment.

Pixel Art can be fun.

I dont have any problem with easy games .Uncharted 2 is very easy (crushing was like normal to hard) but I consider it to be an amazing game.

I like easy games.. I mean.. I'm 27.. My reflexes aren't as fast as when I was 16.. nowadays I just suck a gaming.. so easy games are fine for me..

Because it gets boring unless the game is meant to be more of an experience and less a game. Harder games have make you feel like you've achieved something.

I like harder games, becasue of them I have mastered SMB the Lost Levels and unlocked most of the F-Zero GX, AX content, too of the hardest games I know of.

because when you get good at something you want more challenge thats just it
and me bein a gamer Im always good at most of the game I play thats why I like when theres difficulty level to choose from

its the way of gettin far in life always lookin to surpass yourself

Nintendo made me a gamer so I'd be stupid to ever try to forget that                                             like so many people nowadays

People love easy games which is why Halo, CoD, Mario Kart, WoW etc. sell well.

I prefer easy games to frustrating games. But ideally, I like a game that can be challenging without being frustrating. The gameplay experience feels more rewarding when you feel challenged. It's all about having the right kind of difficulty. I like a challenge but stuff like infrequent checkpoints or save points or shitty cameras or controls pisses me the fuck off.

I know that with the gaming community, it's considered uncool to admit that you don't like a game because it's too frustrating/punishing. But honestly if you aren't enjoying a particular video game, why should you continue playing it? You're just wasting your time playing something you don't like. Don't listen to what self-proclaimed "hardcore gamers" tell you. If you don't want to play a particular game because it puts you in a bad mood, don't play it.

do you like it fast ? or do you like it rough? i like it rough

I live for the burn...and the sting of pleasure...
I live for the sword, the steel, and the gun...

- Wasteland - The Mission.

I like it hard, but easy is nice. But this gen some games are just insanely hard. For exapmle my friend beat Dragon Age Origins on normal in 25 hours, while it took me 40 hours on hard. That extra difficulty gave me 15 more hours.
