I prefer easy games to frustrating games. But ideally, I like a game that can be challenging without being frustrating. The gameplay experience feels more rewarding when you feel challenged. It's all about having the right kind of difficulty. I like a challenge but stuff like infrequent checkpoints or save points or shitty cameras or controls pisses me the fuck off.

I know that with the gaming community, it's considered uncool to admit that you don't like a game because it's too frustrating/punishing. But honestly if you aren't enjoying a particular video game, why should you continue playing it? You're just wasting your time playing something you don't like. Don't listen to what self-proclaimed "hardcore gamers" tell you. If you don't want to play a particular game because it puts you in a bad mood, don't play it.
