Forums - Nintendo - Monster Hunter Tri, a hit in Others?

Here is a list of the top sellers in Japan according to Media Create.....and below there is a list of the top selling games in 'Game'. The page is a Spanish URL, so I think it refers to Others.

From google translate:

"The fresh out of Monster Hunter Tri for the Wii makes it occupies the first position and probably with relative ease."

Still anecdotal evidence, though.

Hope it's true, but if I'm not wrong Game, Amazon and Gamestop were the only European retailers who could sell the limited edition, so it's normal that these stores sold more...but will easily be one of the best selling third party games on Wii by a lot of time, and given the fact that Red Steel 2 bombed as many other games it's doing very well (here I hope for 60+k, just 2 days sales...).

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Xenoblade (Wii), Super mario 3D land (3DS), Guild Wars (PC)

Not in the UK.

And not in Italy, there the stores who have them and are not Gamestop bought them there and are reselling it (I don't even think it's legal...).

But in the chart we see that all SKUs are doing good at game, so probably the game will sell well everywhere.

This is more anecdotal evidence but I've been surprised by the number of players online. It seems like there are 7,000-10,000 players on at a time usually. I think I heard the game was regionally locked for online play, so if that is just American players that is very impressive I think, an is still impressive even if its worldwide. The only other online Wii game I played that told how many people were online is Grand Slam Tennis, and the most people I ever saw online for that game was ~350, and that was worldwide.

Yeeaaah, go Monster Hunter. My copy is on it's way.
