--1. Slimebeast, look up Micheal Vick, animal abuse is a HUGE problem in the US. It's done by people of every color, every race, every religion.
--2. What JKFM was trying to say is, he may hate dogs, but he still understands life has value and anything suffering is horrific. So I find his comment appropriate.

--1.  No, that's not the only reason.  But you made it sound like that sort of thing was commonplace in that culture, while it wouldn't happen in the superior American culture -- or so it seemed to me.  And both parts of that would be inaccurate IMO to say the least. 
--2.  The difference, I think, is simply that if it had been someone beating up a woman or a black (or a Mexican!) then his preface would be seen as inappropriate because of his hatred for them -- not because of the preface.

No, I didn't make it sound that sort of thing was commonplace in that culture. That's ridiculous, of course it's not. I think you read into things a little too much here.

To me, this is saying that those of us condemning this video are mostly from "good cultures", while the people who made this video are from a "bad culture" which is permissive of that sort of activity.  Therefore, it's not unreasonable to suppose it would be relatively common in such a culture. 

Additionally, you say that that is why you are against immigration -- implying that this kind of activity is common enough that immigrants would be likely to include the sort of people who made this video. 

I don't think that my interpretation of your comments is ridiculous at all, even if I wasn't quite correct.

Realistically, there are times when someone will need to kill an animal; but there is never any justification for causing unnecessary pain and suffering to an animal for your own amusement. I personally would question the morality of any individual who would take part in the actions demonstrated in that video, and any individual or culture who would not condemn the individuals who committed those actions.
