All in all, i'll go with this. That schedule was too hectic. This gives me time to A: properly appreciate Galaxy 2 B: Get Sin and Punishment 2 at launch C: really finish Pokemon and D: really sink into Monster Hunter

I'm not pleased, but this will work out well enough in the end.

Frankly, I'm not surprised. It was a little too good to be true to see so many major Nintendo titles releasing so close to each other. At least this way Nintendo can't be pinned for releasing all their games in one quarter like in 2009. As much as I want Metroid Other M very much, I applaud their decision from a business standpoint. And heck, I'll have Mario Galaxy and Dragon Quest IX to play anyway so I'm set.

yeah, there is no real reasons for two premier titles to be released so close to together.

Gotcha. I don't think it is a problem for nintendo softwareto be abscent in July.

Nintendo has put out a statement explaining why both Metroid: Other M and Sin and Punishment 2 have been delayed. I think their explanations make a lot of sense!

"The launch date for Metroid: Other M has shifted to Aug. 31. As you may know, this game is the product of a unique partnership between longtime Metroid producer Yoshio Sakamoto, Team Ninja and many other individuals and groups, all of whom have set very high standards for this latest installment in the series. Although it's taking slightly longer than expected to complete the project, we're confident that fans will find it to be well worth the wait.

We're striving to provide the best possible pacing for our summer game launches. A June 27 launch allows gamers to enjoy Sin & Punishment: Star Successor without having to rush through Super Mario Galaxy 2 (May 23)." - Nintendo statement

Other M needs more time, and that's understandable. Sin and Punishment 2 not being sent to die...now that makes me happy. It's almost like Nintendo cares!

Great date for Other M. It gives me enough time to clear out my Wii backlog. I really need to get back to the first S&P. My Nintendo Channel tells me I've only spent 2 hrs on it.

I actually don't mind. My delivery of Pikmin 2 and Red Steel 2 has been delayed so this will give me time to catch up on all my gaming. Plus, I've just bought my first gaming capable PC in years and have discovered that I have to buy Arkham Asylum, Dirt 2.....basically a whole bunch of games.

Seconded.  Those two right after Mario Galaxy 2 is just too much.  I need time to clear out this backlog and Monster Hunter 3 is already a huge barrier for that goal to begin with.
