Forums - Sales - Why buy first day?

I've found only the odd one or two games I've bought have fallen in price dramatically after release (Prince of Persia, VP2)

So I don't mind paying full whack to have a game first day, I only buy games I REALLY want as well, so that helps ..

All depends on how bad you want the game.

Because sometimes if you wait real close to the release date, you won't get the bundle/limitted edition shit you wanted to begin with.

i.e. Monster Hunter 3 http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=119791

Yeah. Speaking of limited editions, I wonder if I should pre-order Alan Wake limited edition to make sure I get one?

Well I use my amazon kart to check the prices of games I want but not at full prices.

As you said, Nint games don't go down (had to wait 2 years for FE:RD) often.

Other games that stay high (or even get more expensive than release date) are the call of duty and NHL games... I have no idea why the NHL games but yeah...

Otherwise... RS2 is peculiar at 1 month, but almost every game gets to half price within 4 months...so much that I lowered by buy bar from 18£ to 15£...

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

Because I want pre-order bonuses ;..;

seems like a good deal.

Because PS3 games do not tend to drop in price like that within a month.

Plus I don't want to play it on Day 2+ either.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Simply because I want the game. If everyone waited, nobody would make games.

The gamestop by my work only orders enough LE's for most games to cover the preorders, so for ME2 and AW I have to.

Because im not cheap for a price cut.
