Forums - General Discussion - south park receives a death threat

Edit: Somebody shut revolutionmuslim.com down. Here's an article from the examiner citing this website as the original source of the threats:

here's where the threats originally aired, a website where terrorists can chat and think up plots or whatever and I highly doubt that there is a similar chiristian website where kooky christians would be dreaming of blowing stuff up but by a religion's fruits they will be judged and the muslim faith has some rotten fruit. Anyway, here's the website where the original threats were aired:

www.revolutionmuslim.com

Not only were they shut down, but 1) I don't want to be put on a terrorist watchlist, and 2) I don't want any extremists to be able to pull my IP because I visited their website. =)

But it's funny that it was hacked by South Park fans.

I know you were being snide with him. Most of my comments were to him, and not you.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had some harassment from Christians for not being one. I don't argue that there are incedents like that, stupid as they may be, in the US. However, my argument is that the level harassment is many times more brazen and violent in other religions.

It's just a part of life, but what I think he was trying to say is that Islam is in a growing stage, so it's unfair for Christanity to judge it.(at least that's what I took for what he was saying"

I understand that, but at the same time, we live in the 21st century with 21st century mores. Christianity has to deal with the same problems today that Islam does. South Park didn't just single out Mohammed. They made Buddah snort lines of coke, and Jesus watch internet porn. In an earlier episode (the one that directly deals with banning Mohammed's image), Buddah took a dump on Jesus.

As a Christian, did that tick me off? Yes. Does it make me aggrivated that they blaspheme Jesus Christ? Absolutely. However, I didn't see Christian reprisals against Comedy Central for it. Jesus was never censored, nor Buddah. Only one person was censored because radical violence was threatened. This wasn't because Islam is newer than Christianity, after all, they live in the same age everyone else does. Using the argument that Islam being newer gets a free pass because Catholcism was atrocious in the 14th century is a really lame excuse. It tries to rationalize extremist violence as being 'normal' which is never okay. If I ever found a homosexual, or atheist being attacked by a pastor, I would gladly sacrifice my life for the unbeliever, because Christianity has never been about violence, despite the actions of the blasphemous Catholic church, and other 'Christian' retards in ages past.

My point is that you can, and should always judge murder and violent threats as being wrong. I don't care if its from a pastor, cleric, or adherant of any religion. If people are dying in the name of something, they are wrong. Period.

well said.in fact the whole thing is sound in my opinion.

So Mirgro, how many people died during the Muslim conquests of 632-732? Just curious.

Oh a whole bunch, can't argue that. At the same time, it is only a small fraction when compared to the Inquisition, Crusades, Reformation, and conquering of the Americas. I mean, the Chrst killed off a whole continent of civilizations, that's a very tough act to follow.

Reading through your other responses. I am fully well aware that we are in the 21st century. However, you are trying to compare an 18 year old with a 30 year old in maturity. That is NOT how the world works. The only data we have is how the 30 year-old was when he was also 18 and that is not pretty. The 30 year-old acted far more aggressively and committed far more atrocious crimes than the 18 year-old has done. Going by how the 18 year old is developing, by the time he is 30, he will be a far better person than the current 30 year old, may ever be.

You have zero wiggle room here, ideaologies mature with time just as people do, and Islam is still in its teenage years while Chsristianity is well past its retarded stage, but man was Christianity's retarded stage far more retarded than Islam's current retarded stage.

Furthermore, the only reason you would throw yourself to save someone back in those days is because you were conditioned to do so by someone, back in those days you'd be with the rest of the crowd at throwing stones. Don't flatter yourself.

Also we live in the 21st century with 21st century morals? Please enlighten me what exactly, "2st century morals" are. Because the way I see it the number of Muslims is very close to the number of Christians, and is set to surpass it soon. Are you trying to tell me your morals are somehow "better," or "superior" than theirs? Because if that is how you think, then it is my mistake for getting in this argument with you. I obviously can't have an intelligent argument of this high level with you. If I am wrong in my assumption though, just let me know and I will continue to reply.

Both believe that their religions are superior to others so hence they are both fascist. There are extremists in both religions and this is because of interpretations.

Personally I think religions are a barbaric infringement upon human rights and for so many is shoved down their throats until they choke upon its fabric is unacceptable.

I love how they went out of the way to show how sensitive fundamentalist Islam is compared to other religions. They showed Buddha snorting cocaine and Jesus as a porn addict and nobody else has complained, they didn't even show Muhammad, only mentioned him, and they get death threats.

I think muslims need to get used to free speech.

They didn't even mention him in the second part to the episode, his name was bleeped out by Comedy Central!

How did this go from South Park creators getting death threats to whose religion is responsible for the most deaths?
