Well I bought my 360 Elite on November 20th right when Mass Effect was released. And that day there were 3 Elites and 6 people were in line after me and the 3 out of the 6 walked out with Elites.

So the Elites are popular and are high in demand. And by the way the Zepher board Microsoft put into the Elite is reliable too, because my 360 Elite is quiet and cool.

I brought mine at JB-HIFI (Popular shop here in Aus deals HI-FI equipment) i went in last week... no elites left, no arcades left only 2 pro packs left.

+ Mass effect sold out EVERYWHERE i went to 4 shops and all gone :(

Anecdotally, on Saturday my local Target had 4 H3 consoles, 0 Elites, and 0 Pros. It also had 2 or 3 PS3s and absolutely zero Wiis (shocking, I know).

Personally, I'm surprised that video games in general are selling so well.

According to Gamestop's website, both the Pro and the Elite are on back order. Not surprisingly, the Halo 3 edition and Arcade are available. Either Microsoft cut back on production (yeah, right) or those things are selling hot.

I only represent about .01% of the visible market out there, but there were, on Saturday, 20 XBox360's and PS3's on the shelves at the local mall, and no Wii's.... I'm not sure which versions, I'll try and look at that,

Numbers: Checker Players > Halo Players

Checkers Age and replayability > Halo Age and replayability

Therefore, Checkers > Halo

So, Checkers is a better game than Halo.
