The convergence is already here, it's called Skype. But there's actually a good reason that cellphones aren't -- and shouldn't -- be designed the same way as console handhelds. Cellphones are 1-finger devices: press once, and talk/chat with friends. The iPhone gets this right, the games are "point-and-play".

But game handhelds are 2-finger devices: its games are "point-navigate-play". The PSP2 will hopefully have a mix of touchscreen controls as well as buttons, i.e. it will have some "point-and-play" games, but you do need a larger set of controls to do justice to the 720p-quality, massively-connected, socially-networked mobile games of the future.

Why do we get these questions like every week?

Come up with something new.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

I'm sure the battery would be a huge problem as well. A cell phone you want to last all day long. I don't know how long you could play a PSP game before the battery dies.

why not psp2 phone and psp2 no phone edition?
like ipod touch and iphone? ya?
