Well, I don't like cinematics in Mario's games. I don't know, I prefer much more the gameplay and to involve in the game. How is it funny... It's the exact opposite on PS3.

Concerning just platformers... show me some games that prove this...

Ratchet and Clank gah

I really enjoy the cinematics of Ratchet And clank. I disliked the Clunky Clank bits of Tools of Destruction at times.I still really enjoyed that game.

I like playing Mario more, but Ratchet is still solid.

?

I just said I prefer to watch cinematics on PS3 rather than playing the game (on some games)

It's my opinion.

God nintendo sure lack originality, same dull story over and over.

Remember in Mario 64 there were no entry cinematic, nothing. They don't lack originality, it's just Mario. Zelda and Metroid have far more deepness in their stories.

because Zelda and Metroid have oscar worthy stories...

So Uncharted does? A story with tons of stereotypes

Yes, Zelda and Metroid have really good stories and I don't feel the need of a story in Mario games, all I need is to play and have fun. Some games are designed like that.

Then, how on Earth is that so important to have a deep storyline for that game? The first one showed there is no need.

When did I ever mention Uncharted? They all have trash storylines compared to some of the better movies...Uncharted through is a better written story than either M or Zelda. That said it's still no Oscar caliber story...not even close.

So what's the point with your random post?

And the rest is nonsense.

For the sake of the visually impaired I have bolded and enlarged the portions of previous comments that my post was a response to...

Of course if you want to argue about those games having storylines that are at a similar level to good film storytelling then we have discussion.

Dude , Uncharted story is basic what i would expect from a indy movie , and that is good , but how can you say that the story in uncharted is better than written than the one in Other M if other M is not released yet ...just for it you argue is all ready fail ... also the best video game story ever told , despite its simple narrative and basic cinematics  is  the one in Zelda ocarina of Time , you can cry over it , but its true ... if you imagine that story being told with a todays narrative you will indeed have a Oscar caliber story.

Lol, I would love to see how many votes OoT would get from the oscar community... I mean OoT is certainly up there with Kubricks, Speilbergs or Hitchcocks best, right?

Lol, Don't give me that oscar crap, movie goers don't even give a damn about oscars as they aren't very accurate to begin with. Shawshank redemption, one of the highest movies rated and liked by people that go in depth when it comes to movies, didn't win an oscar for best screen play or best story or what ever. Has a really good and touching story if you like movies that involve jails.

That's not the point...Even the best narrative games cannot compare to a mediocre storytelling in film. That's the problem.
