We don't have the game yet, maybe you'll be served!

that's right, why can't the capture be like in the original?
a cutscene that apparently everyone finds tedious and then the quest?

God nintendo sure lack originality, same dull story over and over.

Remember in Mario 64 there were no entry cinematic, nothing. They don't lack originality, it's just Mario. Zelda and Metroid have far more deepness in their stories.

because Zelda and Metroid have oscar worthy stories...

So Uncharted does? A story with tons of stereotypes.

Yes, Zelda and Metroid have really good stories and I don't feel the need of a story in Mario games, all I need is to play and have fun. Some games are designed like that.

Then, how on Earth is that so important to have a deep storyline for that game? The first one showed there is no need.

When did I ever mention Uncharted? They all have trash storylines compared to some of the better movies...Uncharted through is a better written story than either M or Zelda. That said it's still no Oscar caliber story...not even close.

So what's the point with your random post?

And the rest is nonsense.

Same old mario story of yore...cool that means it will be less story and more game. The way a Mario game must be.

I just hope they don't make another lame Evangelion-ish ending...seriously what the heck o_6

I wouldn't have gripes with it, EXCEPT:

Why is it in the star festival. AGAIN? I wasn't expecting anything different, but starting both games so similarly is weird.

Although, I just got a crazy idea of both games being set in parallel universes. Where it starts in the same way but the story completely changes after that. That would be awesome.

That would be too much story for Mario, though.

For the sake of the visually impaired I have bolded and enlarged the portions of previous comments that my post was a response to...

Of course if you want to argue about those games having storylines that are at a similar level to good film storytelling then we have discussion.

Then again, what's the point? You said Zelda and Metroid haven't oscar worthy stories... Did I say so? No. I said they were deeper than Mario, which is an ABSOLUTE fact.

HEY!! This is a FRIENDLY discussion thread about the announcement of the Super Mario Galaxy 2 storyline, not some cold dark alley where people throw crap at each other. If you want to do that kind of nasty stuff, then you can take it to the 5th page.
