Quick question, can Wii Speak only work if both people playing online have it?
I was playing with my friend and he tried using Wii Speak but when he talked through it I didn't hear anything.

On Animal Crossing I was able to hear him through my T.V. when he used Wii Speak and I didn't have it.

Is there like a certain setting or something I need to set for me to hear Wii Speak?

Around the Network

I think I read somewhere that there's a setting, yes. This way you only speak to people you want to speak to, instead of some random prepubescent asshole.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

Any idea where I can find this setting?

Actually I read somewhere that for this game you both need Wii Speak.

Are you sure? That would suck.

The sound from wii speak comes out of your T.V. so why would you need Wii Speak to hear the other person? Wouldn't it only be needed to talk back?
