Well, it made me laugh.

I wouldn't be surprised at how much obesity costs the NHS, in fact, it's fairly obvious. I was actually referring to your over-population comment.

In fact, it's falling lifestyle conditions (symptoms being obesity), and medical breakthroughs that are the biggest influencers on the rising costs. If costs were only rising because population was rising, then everything would be fine, as the taxation drawn in by the population increase would be enough to cover the increased costs.

Does anyone know what happened to that swine flu epidemic?

The government was advertising a lot in regards to it, is the problem still around or shall I just assume it was a massive dose of scaremongering with a bit of exaggeration thrown in for good measure?

The latter. You should blame slow news days, and a bored WHO for that.

It was certainly not scaremongering, Swine flu was a pandemic that most humans had no natural immunity to, so it could have become quite nasty. Luckily we have managed to keep it under control.

It was certainly not due to a slow news day, it is different to regular flus.

If I was a British citizen I'd vote for the BNP. I love the UK.

If the BNP ever get in, then I'm leaving the country.

If that happens, can I come and live in Sweden Slimebeast?

Haha, absolutely. You're most welcome.

You see, the thing is I'm not even joking. I would probably leave because my girlfriend would literally be the first one to be deported because she is a Belgian Jew, pretty much the two things Nick Griffin hates most rolled up into one person.

If my girlfriend goes, then I would pretty much leave on principle.

I would like to live in Sweden, I don't like warm weather and the country seems fairly efficient and motivated.

tommorow is the International Affairs TV Debate:

all 3 partys support the War in Afghanistan, despite most polls showing that the public are largely divided or even opposed on the conflict.

all 3 partys are pro-EU, the Conservatives want "more soverignty" and the Lib Dems would have a refferendum on the EU and if that was successful, the Euro.

Labour and the Conservatives favour renewing Trident nuclear deterent, the Lib Dems favour a review to look at cheaper proposals.

*correct me if any of this is wrong, its all from my memory.

And this is where lib dems go down in the polls...

I have to admit I find the massive jump (leap) up the opinion polls as being incredible.

The biggest unspoken issues in this election campaign are, in no particular order:
a) the People want a referendum on the EU, with the vast majority seemingly willing the UK out of it altogether;
b) the People demand that whoever gets in number 10 next gets immigration under control.

Yet after 90 minutes of a TV debate, the People are quite willing to vote for the party whose flagship policies include scrapping the Pound, surrendering yet more power to Brussels and an amnesty (yet again) for all illegal immigrants living in the UK.

Am I missing something?

How can someone who has the exact opposite views to that of the majority of the people get so much support? It can't just be the fact that he was looking down the camera and Brown was saying "I agree with Nick" every few mins....

I'm undecided and this is mainly due to the fact I don't know if my 'registration' got there okay. I sent it late but I still sent it before the deadline.

Anywho, there are a few things from most parties that either benefit me or I agree with, unless it's the BNP, they can go suck monkey's balls for all I care.

Couple of things I have views on:

I just wish that any major party would just speak out on the whole expences scandal. They are all dancing round it and if any major party wanted to 'win' the election, all they need to do and promise is if they get into power they'd remove expences totally. Raise wages, to cover it a bit but removing expences and you've won the election.

I'm big in favour for the EU and us a part of it, it's a great thing. Giving more power to it is silly but it helps us so much, losing it will hurt not only our economy but people as well. Of course, we need to keep the pound, if we were going to join we'd have done it years ago under a Labour government that favoured it at one point. My views on the EU are mainly based on how the UK government and EU treat farmers, Labour and the supermarkets have done a lot to ruin farming in the UK, it's dieing and needs saving and the only thing keep many farms a float is the EU subsidies. The next government needs to chance it's standings in the EU to help British Farmers because if there are no farmers left, there will be no Britain left.

Hmm, pie.
