bear in mind that only Japan gets this two-version treatment; here in North America, both the PS3 and 360 versions will be the Gestalt iteration. In short, everyone will only know it as Nier. Apparently, Square-Enix has decided that everyone in the west is a Gears of War fanatic that needs to play as a big brawny super he-man which is the Gestalt iteration, to feel good about themselves. I for one am disappoint...I'm offended by Squares stereotypes.

He may look ugly, but he actually is a good character.

Amazing how remarkably similar Kaine's voice actor can match Lightning from FF XIII. Laura Bailey does a good job.

Could someone please explain the title name? Nier in Dutch = Kidney in English

Nier doesn't make any sense to me, maybe because English isn't my first language ;)

I believe that is the main characters name. You get to choose his name though. But I still call him Nier.

Just finished it with 37ish hours clocked. Very good game!

Exceptionally well plot twist
Great, GREAT CHARACTERs, especially old man Nier.
Awesome Music
Long for an action RPG
One of the best stories you can witness from this genre

Avg Graphics and Slightly repetitive game play

But this game is worth it! Best Game No One Played 2010 IMO so far.
