You're not quite sure if you're falling in love with her, if she's slowly driving you nuts, or a bit of both. The game has a lot going for it. It is insanely addictive. I played it for over eight hours yesterday. It is extremely well made and there is a lot to it. There are many different items and several you can combine to make more powerful one's. It's going to take a long time to figure out exactly what does what and exactly how it all works. The way the game is set up, you always feel like you are working toward something whether it be new armor, a weapon upgrade, or whatever. As db8rman said, MHT guides you along slowly and to be honest it's better for it, and you won't feel overwhelmed. Also, the environments and monsters are really good looking. You can definitely tell that a lot of work went into this game. The combat is extremely fun as well. The only problem that I can see (the potential insanity and anger that might arise from it), is that I'm not quite sure yet if there is going to be enough variety to the game. Keep in mind I am just saying this after one day of gameplay. Hunting monsters in order to get upgrades and get more powerful is definitley fun, but I'm not sure whether or not I want to do a couple of hundred of hours of it. MHT is a lot like the start of a relationship with a pretty girl that you like a lot. She looks good, is nice and the potential is there for you to fall in love with her, but like all relationships, there is the doubt that this might not work out in the long run. Basically what I'm saying is that this is going to either be one of my favorite games or I'm going to wind up hating it after I realize that it's gotten old after a hundred hours and that I wasted that much time. So in conclusion, I'm not sure if I want to get married or if I'm going to get cold feet. The sex is great now though. |
I was sad before, but now I'm sadder that I will be getting it only in 10 days or so... It already landed in my US address, but to reach me it will be another 10 days or so
Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village
Anticipating: Xenoblade, The Last Story, Mario Kart 7, Rayman Origins, Zelda SS, Crush3D, Tales of the Abyss 3DS, MGS:Snake Eater 3DS, RE:Revelations, Time Travellers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Luigi's Mansion 2, MH TriG, DQ Monsters, Heroes of Ruin
I hear the online mode will have tuns of events on rotation, also from m knowledge of MH, the offline can get old after you've beaten it, especially if it's like the PS2 monster hunter and you've gotten to that one mission with Rathalos AND Rathian in the same map.
Online it's not that big of a deal, I fought off Kurrepekko and Ludroth at the same time... though 1 of my teammates kept dieing. =/
For some reason the dung bombs didn't work either.
Anyway Amp when you get your full set hunter gear and a decent weapon, hop online with me.
I'm HR 8 right now, trying to reach 30 is a pain.
I'm happy your enjoying it so far, just wait till you get cha-cha, makes life easy.
I'm Unamerica and you can too.

Exactly my sentiments! My take on it, however, is that the offline game may become boring when played week after week, but that 4-player online questing should be much more dynamic and make the game last for a long time.
Also, splitscreen Arena play is extremely fun.

thats a really weird analogy, and yet it works sooooooooooo well
nintendo fanboy, but the good kind
proud soldier of nintopia
lol nice reason ....playing the demo this shit hard as getting 3 stars on MK, so I expect you like it due to the challenge . Be grabbing it soon .

So I just picked this game up, and I can hardly wait to give it a go. The only problem is I have no time for games right now...
In the absence of evidence to the contrary, always assume you have the upper hand.
NNID = RangerOne
Switch = SW-2393-3671-6907
Hmmm. So this game is really hardcore. I like it.

That's a good analogy of it, but stick with it trust me, it will most likely work out. Once you kill your first Rathalos, the game really starts rolling and picking up steam like a train that can't stop. You will get better with play and be able to take creatures without having to upgrade your armor for a looong time.
CURRENTLY PLAYING: Warframe, Witcher 2
