Amp if you complete the game it unlocks a huge bonus. It is Goldeneye from N64. Yes you can play the whole game on Wii if you finish Monster Hunter Tri. Plus there is even online 4 player death match. That is more than enough reason to buy it.

It's addicting as hell, so if you have other priorities, don't buy this game, that's all I can say on that matter.

Okay I tried out the classic controller and the demo, it's a mix, my brain is still wired for Wiimote+Nunchuck but I can adapt to the PS2 style however the classic controller is neither.

It pissed me off a little because I'm, certain I would of set the vertical on the camera off for the right analog to prevent any mishaps.

I do remember you could do that in the old monster hunter games.

Anyway it's the same problem I have with Wiimote and Chuck, the vertical is a set of preset angles, essentially hitting up or down brings you to one of these angles.

However left and right give you 360 degrees of visual movment.

At the begining I would go for left on the Wiimote but the pad is so small I would tap down, incidently I would have to dodge roll when I could of just walked.

I've gotten used to avoiding it now though.

My impression is that the Wiimote is more intuitive than Classic Controller, but the classic controller seems to have everything there.

The MAJOR bonus Wiimote has over it is the shake quick release of the weapon for a fast poke.

mastering the camera and predict enemy movement through experience is 1/4th of the game, stick with the classic pro, it's much better for harder fights after you are faster with the camera with right analog, wiimote is just there for show.

wow... that vid reminded me why I quit wow... grinding induced boredom (well more component harvesting for raid potions... to wipe 50 times than yay 1st in europe  to beat boss then yay wiping time again...)

I think it killed my chances of buying the game (well the fake amazon deal made me sour already).

uh, that's old, and it's not even the right info anymore, there is voice chat now, not to mention the game is skill based, not grind based.

100s and 100s of hours of gameplay and you get to play with friends online(no friend codes)to fight giant monsters. You also get to customize your armor and weapon(s). Monster Hunter 3 is developed by the best 3rd party game company, Capcom and they always make great games for hardcore gamers. What else can you ask for?

I actually perfer the Wiimote setup. The only probelm i could see is the odd placement of the item button (1), and in intense fights it could very well be a problem. Other than that, everything works great imo. My impressions are based off the demo.

the most important difference is the camera, it simply doesn't beat the right analog stick after you get used to it.
