@Games4Fun

Now that was a real review parody.

So wait does that mean he actually gave it 32/35 in arbitrary numbers?

His other reviews aren't parodies though. V_V

Unless that was a real review then he forgot to mention long loading times.

It was supposed to be a PS3 exclusive.

Simply put, it's the most rewarding game I've ever played.

pfft! forget the game; this alone is reason to buy multiple copies of it.

[crappy thoughts]

I'm just going to be lonely playing this game by my self.

Aren't you online? I have no friends to play with too, yet I'm going to melt online.

Even if Monster Hunter Tri is a good game, you still may not like it. Games like Metroid and Zelda are very popular, but theres still a fair amount of people who don't like those types of games.

It's a game where you rely on your skills to level up, not your character. You have to learn how to fight monsters, learn how to learn fighting monsters you know jack about, learn how to just about everything. It's a game of survival where, if you like those types of games, getting your rear handed to you only makes you try harder, and it kind of excites you as you realize how much better you're getting, wanting to take on stronger and stronger foes. Now add all of this with co-op online, and you should be able to understand why it appeals to alot of gamers. The question is if it appeals to you.

This game is not easy(ok MHFU is not easy). Monster Hunter is not entertainment it's a game. Many games today give so much leeway on health, ease of play and so many features that the game isn't a game anymore. it's just a form of entertainment. Games that are played by yourself are games like Solitair. It's more for just spending your time.

Monster Hunter is old school difficulty stacked with a Multi-player system that gives you the best part. Where as other Multiplayers games have multiplayer tacked on. This is the prize event. If you enjoy the thrill of challenge then Monster Hunter is a game where you can sink hundreds of hours into. Nintendo makes long term game play by way of candy style entertainment. MH is the opposite, it's truly the meat of the entire event that you will enjoy for a long time.

Rent it, try it. There are elements that people will complain about, but MH is a finely crafted game. The parts that many console gamers take for granted and standard are absent. Not because they are lazy, but because it's to make the game all that much better. I was hesitent at first. I never touched MH anything until last weakend. I have now seen the light at it's glory. Though it won't mean much. I'm a hardcore(snicker) pen and paper role player who has played MMO before WoW and played WoW until late last year since launch. I love Story, Role Playing.... it's so wonderfully different and insults all my sensibilities as for what an RPG is, but it doesn't matter. It's just so well maid and polished in it's own unique way that's it's a fantastic experience.

More the better. Even though I'm upset that the co-op offline doesn't let 2 players play the actual missions. Just the arena with pre set gear :( I will still get it. I'm just going to be lonely playing this game by my self.

Video games are an entertainment buisness. The world of video gaming will absolutely die if they no longer entertain, because that's what they have always been about from the beginning. We and the masses pay money to be entertained. If they are not fun in SOME kind of way, they die. Monster hunter is fun for people who like a challenge through trial, so it is still a form of entertainment. It would not be successful if it weren't.

The thrill of accomplishment, primarily. And of team-work. The former is something i value, but the latter is something i try to avoid in games, and have since Phantasy Star Online on GC, but i'm hoping this game can restore the fun of teamwork.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

You should get it because it has Cha-Cha. . .
