Do you really want to be that uncool kid that doesn't have the cool toy that everyone else is going to have?

Are you buying it?  I'm just trying to figure out if you're one of the cool kids?

Okay I tried out the classic controller and the demo, it's a mix, my brain is still wired for Wiimote+Nunchuck but I can adapt to the PS2 style however the classic controller is neither.

It pissed me off a little because I'm, certain I would of set the vertical on the camera off for the right analog to prevent any mishaps.

I do remember you could do that in the old monster hunter games.

Anyway it's the same problem I have with Wiimote and Chuck, the vertical is a set of preset angles, essentially hitting up or down brings you to one of these angles.

However left and right give you 360 degrees of visual movment.

At the begining I would go for left on the Wiimote but the pad is so small I would tap down, incidently I would have to dodge roll when I could of just walked.

I've gotten used to avoiding it now though.

My impression is that the Wiimote is more intuitive than Classic Controller, but the classic controller seems to have everything there.

The MAJOR bonus Wiimote has over it is the shake quick release of the weapon for a fast poke.

On a more serious note: It's a game where there are no boss fights, because apparently all monsters are bosses. Whether that is a good thing or not remains to be seen.

actually there is boss battles, when you choose a hunt you will fight random monsters that you don't have to fight, but the bounty is always on the bigger monster that shows on the radar and needs some tactics and teamwork to win against.

Buy this game you won't regret it,

I stand corrected, though I mainly meant that from the difficulty point of view.

Correct, the game does have a last boss and bonus bosses, actually it has 2 last bosses.

In HR 800+ or 80+ I believe it's 800+ though, there is the Elder Dragon Alterion or something like that, likes like a Horse with a worms head and dragons tail with wings, of course it's hax though.

Then there is the Leviathan type monster that has the incredibly long name, and Shen-Moran being one of the two bonus bosses that I know of.

If you are not wanting it with all that we have heard about it along with a free demo to play. I do not see anyone here convincing you other wise. You could always rent it, then buy it if you wanted, which really is probably your smartest option at this point anyways.

Euphoric Endorphins generated by the whatever glands when you accomplish a difficult task.

This game is not easy(ok MHFU is not easy). Monster Hunter is not entertainment it's a game. Many games today give so much leeway on health, ease of play and so many features that the game isn't a game anymore. it's just a form of entertainment. Games that are played by yourself are games like Solitair. It's more for just spending your time.

Monster Hunter is old school difficulty stacked with a Multi-player system that gives you the best part. Where as other Multiplayers games have multiplayer tacked on. This is the prize event. If you enjoy the thrill of challenge then Monster Hunter is a game where you can sink hundreds of hours into. Nintendo makes long term game play by way of candy style entertainment. MH is the opposite, it's truly the meat of the entire event that you will enjoy for a long time.

Rent it, try it. There are elements that people will complain about, but MH is a finely crafted game. The parts that many console gamers take for granted and standard are absent. Not because they are lazy, but because it's to make the game all that much better. I was hesitent at first. I never touched MH anything until last weakend. I have now seen the light at it's glory. Though it won't mean much. I'm a hardcore(snicker) pen and paper role player who has played MMO before WoW and played WoW until late last year since launch. I love Story, Role Playing.... it's so wonderfully different and insults all my sensibilities as for what an RPG is, but it doesn't matter. It's just so well maid and polished in it's own unique way that's it's a fantastic experience.

More the better. Even though I'm upset that the co-op offline doesn't let 2 players play the actual missions. Just the arena with pre set gear :( I will still get it. I'm just going to be lonely playing this game by my self.
