Unfortunately he's not the only one. Many more people suffer from the HD is a platform syndrome.

OP: Actually, the Wii folks are the ones who are overly fond of pointing out that the Wii is outselling both HD consoles combined but now that the tables have turned its not so fun any more.
Also, with the divide this gen with two consoles that stand head and shoulder above in hardware capability and represent a completely different way of building and thinking its natural that people would assign two camps; the Wii and the "not Wii" or HD consoles.
Last gen saw three relatively similar consoles compete, it was even ground and simpler for developers and consumers alike, this gen is different.

Also; stop complaining, there are certainly worse things going on in the world right now and its not like no one has pointed this out before.

PS: I realize that the PS3 tag below my name will cause you to not care about what I say. But I don't care, its just my two cents anyway.

I'd say you have to deal with it. It's not going anywhere. It is a vehicle of showing the discontent of "hardcore" fans with the Wii. Funnily enough, Wii fans also do it to show how similar and ununique the HD twins are.

Wii outselling HD combined is a fair point. Even when is HD outselling Wii. Weekly sales vary in favor of both audiences.

You have a point there, but the "HD vs. Wii" originates from 3rd parties, that actually treat the two consoles as a single platform. For this reason, it's interesting to see will Move and Natal backfire by splitting the 3rd party support.

It's only a matter of the view we are looking at the subject.
If it's the view of the publisher in question, then a HD vs. Wii is a valid view.
If it's the view of a console manufacturer, then there's no HD vs. Wii.
Game reviewers review games per platform, no HD vs. Wii.
If you as a gamer bought your console(s) for 3rd party games, then you have a HD vs. Wii situation.
If you bought your consoles for 1st party games, then no HD vs. Wii.

In the end, HD vs. Wii isn't as bad as is 1st party vs. 3rd party on any platform.

This for me.

I guess it make more sense when wii fanboys say mario kart wii­­ >> gtaIV (ps3+360 combine) but not the other way around?
