Forums - Nintendo - Why isn't my wii selling....

If you really do have a wii I'd suggest looking at the games out now and the games coming out latter and with wii as big as it is and selling like it does I'd really suggest just keeping it because once wii hits 100million and used wiis sell for 90$ its going to get great 3rd party support...............

So do you just not know how to look at how other people priced their Wii's on eBay or are you lazy?

I priced it @ $150 with free shipping... is that no reasonable enough? >_>

You're trying to sell a used console for 75% of the cost of a new console from Nintendo?

I dont think you are giving the Wii's jrpg library a fair shake.

Like others have said: Monster Hunter 3 is coming next week and then you have Arc Rise Fantasia, Last Story, Xenoblade and DQX in the works...

And there are loads of Wii jrpgs out there that you might want to give a try. Go to IGN, go to the Wii section, and go look at their games under RPGs (and Action RPGs). Take a look around there, see what you like.

I probably won't be touching any Wii rpgs anytime soon but I definitely want to try Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon. And Monster Hunter Tri is just around the corner. I never played a Monster Hunter game. I want to finally see what this whole Monster Hunter thing is about. Oh and Muramasa from the little I've played of it is pretty fun (it is an Action RPG).

Oh and don't forget about the non-RPGs. I'm having fun with No More Heroes (main reason why I bought a Wii but not the only reason) at the moment. Just killed Bad Girl and close to the end game now (I'm going to do extra end game grinding though to ensure that I have sweet stuff going into New Game+ for my second playthrough). Gonna get Madworld sent to me in the mail next week.

I bought a wii early during launch phase through ebay, thought it'd be an awesome console... Now about 2 years since I had it, I barely used it and the only game I owned and had somewhat of interest are Supersmash Brothers Brawl and Tales of Symphonia Radiant of Dawn :/

Being a "hot console" I thought I'd easily sell it, but I have listed on Ebay and Craigslist in NYC for weeks for $150 for the whole console with all the original parts and the two games (/w manual and box like new...), nobody even seem remotely interested >_>

Anyone know a place they can direct me so I can get rid of this console that I no longer use? ;/

Give me a link to your ebay auction and I'll tell you why it isn't selling. I sell stuff on Ebay all the time and I'm sure you've simply made a little error that is keeping people from actually seeing it.

To answer the topic title, because it is used and you are selling it for 150. Recently Gamestop and Walmart had a deal where you get a wii for 200 with wii sport resort bundle. To a consumer that deal is better.

The next problem is you are selling much too late. Had you been selling in November, December, and January, you would have done much better.

If he's only purchased those two games so far with all the previous great games that came out, then he needs to sell it as its just not for him.

Or it could just be that the OP didn't bother to research the Wii's library well enough. Unless someone happens to be a graphics whore who refuses to return to SD gaming, I don't see how they couldn't get some great mileage out of the Wii. It's all about doing research and picking out games that match your interests.

It's hard to believe that someone can't find at least a dozen games on each console that would appeal to them.

I'm disappointed in many of you for actually posting in this thread and engaging this guy. We all know the true intention behind posting this.

Btw word of advice if you want to increase your chances of selling your Wii.

Clearly state the model no. of your console as well as the firmware version.

Older models and older firmwares will make pirates and homebrewers spontaneously jizz in their pants.

Otherwise, $150 for a used Wii may be asking for a lot. Aside for piracy/homebrew-related purposes, I can't see how used consoles would be very popular anyway. I bought my Wii brand new because I wanted the 1 year warranty from Nintendo (apparently I get a slight warranty extension if I sign up with Club Nintendo as well). Even if the Wii has a low failure rate, I like that peace of mind. And a brand new console has more longevity.

you only Owned 2 wii games? wow you suck lol... Just Kidding :)

how long did you had your wii on Ebay for?
