Forums - Sony - Without a doubt in my mind Kratos would annihilate Link.

The shadow is still appearent. Kratos would be able to see it no matter how much you want to believe Kratos would be the same shitty AI back in the SNES era

I don't know why I have to keep reiterating that that wasn't an accident of programming, it was intentional.

I never met a lead developer who worked on  a Zelda title before. Tell me oh great one what new weapons is the new zelda going to have?

Do you contend that the developers were unable to include frames of vulnerability when you swing your sword with the cape on? Mind, they include invulnerability frames after you take a hit.

But still, that means light can touch him. So whilst he can pass through physical forms, concentration of light/radiation would still be able to hit link... so Helio's head would be able to hit and effect link returning him to trueform. If he didn't have a shadow this wouldn't be possible, but he does.

No, it doesn't. If Link's body was what was casting his shadow, then he would be visible. That's how light works.

And again, there is no particular canonical reason to think that the head of Helios would work on the magic cape, since Link can use it in bright light, sunlight, and when being hit with magical fire (light).

Dtw doesn't the shadow imply that link is tangible? because light particles must be hitting him and deferring in order to produce a shadow. So he must have physical form...

If light was hitting Link then it would also be bouncing off of him, which means he owuld be visible, so no, that isn't why he has a shadow. he doesn't have physical form, either - he can walk through some walls, and also through enemies. Even bosses!

I see you say some walls. Why only some? Why not all? Why cant you walk through every single thing in the game?  Oh... because it was the developers pacing the game and it would be really cheap just to go through every single level and grab the item and beat the boss. Must mean he is able to be touched in some way. Kratos would find those walls and crumble them and throw the rubble at Link. Link would become concussed and faint then kratos would bludgeon him to death

Why would Kratos be able to do that when Kratos himself is incapable of breaking selfsame walls? Or even locked doors?

And it's not clear why Link can pass through some walls (and all enemies) but not others - it probably has to do with the density of the walls, since the walls Link can pass through tend to be somewhat porous.

Yes I do. You have no clue why they made it so he didn't take damage. It could have been to much work. Could have made the game glitchy. Could have been an oversight. All I know is that we can use logic (to a certain extent. Obviously it isn't logical to have to fictional characters fight) in this fight and logic tells us Kratos doesn't just dropped dead if he leaves a designated area and logic tells us if Link can make contact with something then he can also be hit.

if link cannot go through certain wall du to density then that means he is tangible, also to be able to hit kratis with is sword it need to be tangible even for a split of a second, if the sword is tangible link must be tangible a that moment to because he wouldn't be able to hold it if he stay intangible, so that split of a second is enough for kratos to hit him

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Well I can tell you that non of Kratos weapons are porous thus he is able to make contact with Link. Kratos wins the end. (Even though he won at the begining of the thread since Link would never make contact for the three day fight anyway  when he has been trying to attack kratos for 3 days straight while kratos just hops around and laughs at his pathetic attempts and link becoms fatiguedthen kratos would just slaughter him.

Heliosis head isn't light rays or magic. It simply returns anything to trueform. The walls and chests kratos illuminates are in bright sunlight and previously intangible (they can't be hit or anything like that). And the head of helios does not deplete kratos' mana pool so it is not a type of magic, plus you only provide the instance of 'fire magic'.

Plus links cape can only be used for short pertions of time as it quickly drains links mana pool. So even if it was used Kratos could use the boots of speed to run in the opposite direction until link returned to trueform.

Okay, I just wanted to make sure you thought the developers of Link to the Past were just bad programmers.

Of course, it doesn't matter, since the fact of it is what it is.

Your version of logic doesn't matter, since Link can't beh it when he uses the cape.

Link can hit enemies while standing inside of other enemies and not take any damage, even though he takes damage jsut from touching enemies. Ergo, he never touches them, ergo he never becomes tangible. His intangibility is one-way. This has already been established.
