Forums - Sony - PS3 passes the xbox 360 in overall sales in "others"

as of this week the ps3 has surpassed the overall sales of the 360 in others. as it stands the 360 has an overall of 15.25 million and the ps3 an overall of 15.26 million. its not much of a lead but considering the 360 being released over a year before the ps3 its quite a good achivment. so what do u think will the ps3 or 360 win overall in others by the end of this gen.

already posted. mods lock thread

The 360 would need to stop selling completely for the ps3 to pass it this gen.

Don't worry. There's going to be another huge adjustment, and the 360 will be back on top again. What's this? The third time the PS3 "passed" the 360 in Others? lol

no they wouldnt. the ps3 has already gained something like 800,000 so far this year if it keeps this up will will prob pass it by sompoint in 2011. which would only be about half(ish) was through the ps3's expected life.

What a stupid comment.

It's not surprising the PS3 passed the 360 in others. The Playstation has better brand recognition and the only reason it holds down America is because of the year head start and the $199 Arcade SKU.

And it will. PS3 released 1 year later, and Microsoft probably won't support there system after, and even if they do decide to support the 360 later on support will still probably drop 1 year sooner than it does for the ps3.
