Isn't Gears 2 still tracking ahead of Gears 1? I'm confident it will pass it eventually. Gears 3 is coming out 6 months behind Halo, so no worries there either.

We will all know the biggest games coming from everyone after this years E3, until then we don't know, Sony has many secrets right now, and I am sure MS has a few also, so after E3 we will have all cards on the table. Ounce again its a very exciting time to be a gamer, it keeps getting better and better, this is why I laugh at the threads saying this is the worst gen ever, really these people must be on hardcore drugs, this gen ROCKS !!!!

Seriously this is one of the Biggest game on 2011 that's for sure. Any person will agree to me on that. It looks like will see a great Q1 for the 360.

FF13 didnt do that well. Sales were decent. But not Gears 2 levels. Gears 3 will probably hit 7 mill +

After 17 weeks on sale, Final Fantasy XIII is sitting at 4,674,318 units sold. With only the first week of those sales being in the Holiday season, in one region.

After 17 weeks on sales, Gears of War 2 was sitting at  4,653,142 units sold. Despite having 9(?) weeks of being on sale in the Holiday season, in 2 regions.

So what the hell are you talking about?

FF13 was multiplat. FF13 vs is not. FFvs 13 is an offshoot. FF10 2 sold considerably less than FF10. I expect FF13 vs to sell half of what FF13 does.

So? It still is selling above Gears 2, which makes what you said false and wrong.

FFvXIII will not match XIII... Even if it goes Multi. I agree with that, but not at all with the highlighted red.


Sorry for the confusion. I was refferring to single platform sales of FF13. Sorry.

On another note... You really think Gears 3 will "probably" hit 7M+?

Gears 2 sold less than Gears 1... And in a lot of peoples eyes it was a worse game too.


It's odd.

I actually just had a thought. Halo Reach is out a mere 7-8 months before. Now I think about it. Any shooter that releases within a year on 360 after Reach is gonna find it hard play. It may struggle.

Nah, Gears will have no trouble selling. Even if it's not in the holidays, its brand name will more than suffice.

 

@slowmo: With the IW heads gone as well as some key members? I doubt it.

Yeah, but in sales The Agent and FF13 Vs. will kill Geow3.

In terms of quality (where it really matters for us gamers, except for some :P) KZ3 and R3 will be in the same category as Gears 3.
