A game similar to NES Zelda? They had them on the NES, it was called Golden Axe Warrior.

Plus, just look at the loading screens in 3DDGH, it makes it very apparent that this game is a tribute to the 8/16 Bit gaming days.

Ok, my interest is now piqued by this. And also, this entire thread reminds me how epic the original Zelda music is.

This whole game is a tribute to the adventure games of the 8 and 16 bit era.

And Zelda wasn't the only game that looked like that mind you, it's just one of the more popular ones

Nothing more epic than 8-bit Megaman styled music in a Zelda inspired game.

Maybe because Silicon Studios felt like developing a game now and they thought the retro Zelda thing would be a fantastic concept. You should just be happy that a game paying it's respects to the franchise you obviously love is made, as Euphoria14 said (kinda), any self respecting Zelda fan should play this game and be happy it's made.
Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
